Who Should Fight Jermella For The Title?
GGG ranking #1 and Szeremeta ranking #2,, it makes sense that they fight each other to fight out who should be the #1 contender for WBC. Currently the WBC middleweight title is held by Jermall Charlo. GGG should be fighting Jermall for the title but since there isn’t any news about that then GGG and Szeremeta’s fight should be happening to find who deserves the title shot the most.
GGG’s next opponent hasn’t been announced yet but it should be announced early so that it can be promoted.
Golovkin lost against Canelo is his light fight in September 2018. So he could use a little boost by fighting a little easier opponent and get some of his confidence back being disappointed in the last fight. Szeremeta is just 5’9 which is quite small for middleweight and he is not a big puncher with his 21% KO rate.
GGG has signed a six-fight three-year deal with DAZN last week which means that he will be fighting 2 times per year and his contract will end by the time he is 39. He might be given a new title if by that time he was till winning titles. It all depends upon how well he fights. GGG needs to sort thing with Canelo is a final 3rd fight if he wants to stay in boxing by simply knocking out Canelo
